Express Entry
The Canadian Express Entry program is for people who wish to attain permanent residence status through economic immigration. The Express Entry system is divided into two parts. The first part requires the candidate to be eligible under one of Canada's 3 express entry classes: Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades.

The Canadian Experience Class is for those with one year of Canadian work experience. The Federal Skilled Worker class is a points-based system for overseas applicants. The Federal Skilled Trades is for trades workers both overseas and inside Canada.

If a candidate is successfully admitted under any one of the above three classes, then they move on to the next part: The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) which is a points based system. If the candidate meets the points cutoff under the CRS, they will be invited to apply for permanent residence.

The Express Entry system is highly competitive, to the point where most candidates are only successful if they spent time accumulating Canadian work experience or education. If you would like an assessment of your eligibility under the Express Entry program and advice on how to increase your chances of success, book a consultation with HACIC.
